The Magna Carta was created to give everyone equal rights. King John had conflict with everyone such as his nobles which resulted in the signing of the document. King John had conflict with Pope Innocent III also, which resulted in his excommunication, and an interdict placed over England(Prentice Hall, 208). I believe this caused frustration for his nobles, which is part of the reason the charter was created and King John was forced to sign it.
